Hi everyone. I am currently on a brush kick and I have spent many hours exploring beauty blog-land in order for me to scout for some new candidates to add to my brushes collection.
Some newbies have since been added to my arsenal, of which includes the Ecotools Bamboo Bronzer Brush and Recycled Retractable Kabuki.

ECOTOOLS BAMBOO BRONZER BRUSH
The opening of the packaging or "reusable storage pouch" is really small so it wouldn't be too practical to store this particular brush in it since it will mess up the bristles when you take the brush out.
This brush is very plush and the bristles are so soft~
The handle is made of bamboo and the ferule is made of recycled aluminium. The handle is very lightweight but still feels very sturdy. However, it is very thick so it takes up quite a lot of space compared to other brushes.
The taklon bristles are very densely packed but extremely soft so the brush feels almost spongy on the skin. I personally prefer using this brush for setting powder, powder foundation & mineral foundation. This brush buffs on powder product very well and it leaves a very flawless and airbrushed look.
I have washed this brush several times and it holds up extremely well. Products wash out of the bristles very easily and I haven't noticed any shedding. The only downside is that this brush takes a very very long time to dry but it is perfectly normal since the bristles are so dense.
ECOTOOLS RECYCLED RETRACTABLE KABUKI
The handle/case is made of recycled aluminium.
The Ecotools Recycled Retractable Kabuki brush is also an impressive brush with a very wallet friendly price tag (also $12.00). The alumimium case/handle is made with recycled material and the bristles are taklon so it's also cruelty free.
The bristles are soft and dense (but not too dense) so it has a fluffy feel against the skin. My preferred use for this brush is with setting powder/ powder foundation. However, since the bristles are not extremely densely packed, I like using this brush with blush and bronzer too.
Since this is a retractable brush, it is a great one to take with you so that you can touch up your makeup throughout the day. The enclosed case can ensure that products don't dirty your bag/makeup bag and the bristles won't be damaged. It is quite compact when it's closed so it won't take up a whole lot of space.
My only little complaint: the aluminium handle feels a tad flimsy. If you have followed my blog for any duration of time, you will know that I am always talking about the sturdiness of the packaging/ handle. That is because I am a very clumsy person and I drop/break/knock things over all the time. The slide up portion of the aluminium handle just doesn't feel very secure and I feel like it can pop out if I am not careful with it. The outer aluminium case also scratches very easily so my brush is looking quite beaten up although I haven't had it for all that long.
Apart from that, this is a lovely brush. It washes well and doesn't take super long to dry. It hasn't shed so far and I have washed it several times already.
Have you tried any Ecotools brushes? If you have, what are your thoughts and do you have any recommendations?
Also, what are your must have makeup brushes that you think I should check out?
